JOSEF THOMPSON SMITH
CAD Designer Josef started his fire industry career here at Zero Fire.
With almost four years’ experience now under his belt, Josef’s role sees him responsible for fire protection system design includes the documentation, design and detailing of sprinkler, alarm, building hydrant and hand operated fire-fighting equipment systems predominantly in commercial buildings. He also fills the important role of our Health and Safety Representative – bridging the gap between management and employees to ensure all health and safety concerns are effectively addressed.
Prior to joining Zero Fire Josef studied residential architecture at Waikato Institute of Technology and is currently working towards completing his fixed fire protection qualification.
Outside of work Josef can be found hiking mountain trails, crawling around under cars or sliding over some fresh powder with a snowboard strapped to his feet.
